Welcome back and thank you for finding the time to open this client newsletter.
You have heard me say this many times before … “has anything changed for you and your family that may effect your insurance protection plan?”
As our expenses increase we need to work out ways to increase our income. to better ourselves & our family financially, especially in the event of a major illness or untimely death.
Insurance gives you control & certainty. Do you have full income cover protection cover?
Is your life cover enough to ensure your family will not struggle financially in the event of your untimely death?
Do you need to double check your family’s insurance plans?
While some are cutting back on insurance, many families in our community are realising this is a very important time to ensure they have certainty and control with good insurance plans.
Yes, I can here you saying ‘that’s Paula’; straight to the point.
On a lighter note, Jayne and Abby have suggested we pop a recipe in our newsletter. so here you go…
an easy potato salad recipe, we chose this recipe because we still have lots of new potatoes in our vege garden and we have many more warm summer days to have family and friends over for a BBQ .
Enjoy,
– Paula
Enjoy your day,

Do you currently have insurance in place, you are not quite sure about?
Have you ever wondered how premiums are calculated?
Have you ever noticed that your spouse, partner or children have different premiums for similar or identical cover?
Let’s try to make sense of the dollars and cents!
The premium for your benefits are based on actuarial statistics, or data that is gathered, compiled and studied by an Actuary. In simple terms, an Actuary is someone who deals with the measurement and management of risk or uncertainty. In the insurance industry, an Actuary is responsible for analysing the possible outcomes of the types of events that could potentially result in claims.
The more likely you are to claim, the higher your premiums will be.
This is the life insurance version of ‘user pays’ and helps ensure that the widest possible mix of both healthy and not so healthy clients are attracted to buy insurance, so that the collective risk of claims can be spread amongst this wide mix of clients.
Life Insurers are allowed to price differently on the basis of age, gender and disability provided that this different treatment is supported by actuarial or statistical data, clearly showing different risk profiles for people of different demographics. If no actuarial or statistical data is available for a particular demographic (for example, an individual with a very rare combination of diseases or disorders), pricing based on expert medical opinion of the risk is also allowed.
Trauma Cover provides a lump sum payment should you suffer a predetermined health condition. The most common payment is for cancers. The covered conditions are by nature serious and potentially life threatening and, as a result, can have a significant financial impact. Trauma Cover is designed to help alleviate the financial impact. The lump sum can help to purchase specialised equipment, pay for home modifications, provided additional care, or reduce debt. Most of all it takes financial pressure off when families have so many other things to think about health wise.
Doing just 30 minutes of moderate physical activity a day can help reduce your risk of heart disease. Your heart is a muscle and needs excercise to help keep it fit so that it can pump blood efficiently around your body. Without regular physical activity the body slowly loses its strength, stamina and ability to function well.
Lifelong physical activity, such as a brisk walk for as little as 30 minutes a day is important for:
• preventing heart disease
• lowering your risk of high blood pressure, diabetes and stroke
• building stronger immunity
• helping to reduce stress, tension, depression and anxiety
• improving overall health and wellbeing, prolonging your optimal health.
Whatever type of activity you choose to do, the more you move the better!
