Welcome back.
I really enjoy December, working hard to finish the year well at work, but knowing we have public holidays around the corner, A time to reconnect , relax and make great memories with family and friends.
2023 update
January 23 – I was so pleased to have Jayne start as our admin manager, we managed some big claims just after she started her kind caring personality really shines during tough times. she has been getting to know our clients and is available to assist you with everything admin. For insurance advice she will happily book you in to our diary for an insurance review with me.
March 23 – New government regulation began for Financial advisers. Great to finally be here to better protect consumers. We have more forms to be signed, information to be shared & reports to complete. Our clients’ best interests being the #1 focus. Thank you for understanding regulation and signing the necessary forms when needed. Our systems are improving all the time.
August 23 – Singapore – MDRT conference. Loved every minute! A very worthwhile event for me to keep in touch with top insurance & financial advisers from NZ, Australia and the rest of the world. Definitely worth the investment, I’m planning to go to the annual conference Vancouver 2024 to continue learning from the best.
September 23 -Knee replacement – yuk I didn’t enjoy it! After 3 weeks sick leave, then working part time for a few weeks after that, I have been a little behind with calling clients at policy anniversary time. So please do read your annual review emails and contact us if you have had any changes in your circumstances that may affect your insurance plan. We are always here to assist!
Overall note for 2023
Premium increases – have been higher than we have seen before, due to the higher CPI rates. Please reach out if you are concerned about your premiums- I am very happy to chat and work out your best options to save on premiums. we have been assisting many clients kept their cover and keep within their budget all year and we can see this will continue into 2024 while there is no relief on mortgage interest rates.
Claims 2023– We have had many of our clients need to claim this year, Life and Trauma payments, at such a tough time have been easily processed and funds deposited into client bank accounts quickly. Insurance companies and Jones insurance make these claims a priority. I’m proud to be in an industry that contributes huge dollars into our economy every day.
Private medical prior approvals and claims are now able to be processed quickly on the insurance company websites, so we do recommend our client go direct and copy us in if they can. Then if needed we can still assist. Hopefully the insurance company turn around time will be better in 2024 – they are working on better processes and systems to cope with the increased number of claims we are all seeing.
Finally,
If you would like to book a review before Christmas or in the New year, email Jayne at info@jonesinsurance.co.nz to set up a time that suits you to chat to me
Thank you so much for trusting me and Jones Insurance to continue looking after your personal insurance plan – please do keep in touch.
All the best wishes for a fun, relaxing summer break and your best ever year in 2024!
Enjoy your day,
Paula Jones
